Ethni is a non-profit organisation that is led by young women for young women.
As part of our commitment to this, our organisation has a ‘Youth Membership’ for young women who are actively involved in Ethni. Being a Youth Member gives you a voice in how our organisation is run and what we do.
It is free to join as a youth member.
To be a Youth Member you must be:
A young women aged 15 - 25 years old
Actively involved with Ethni (attending programs, volunteering or in our team) for a minimum of 1 year
Believe in and uphold our vision, mission and values.
Agree to upload our Ethni Member Commitment (below).
What you do as a youth member:
There are no set roles or responsibilities as a youth member. You can attend our quarterly (every 3 months) Youth Member meetings where we get together to hang out, talk about life and what Ethni can do better for young women in our community. This is your time to have a voice, share your thoughts and give us feedback.
These meetings are run by our Youth Representatives, who have a place on our Board. Our Youth Representatives will bring back your ideas and feedback to our Board to make sure you voice is heard at all levels of the organisation and real change can occur.
You will also be able to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM) where you have a vote in electing our Board and any other major business for the organisation.
