ABOUT THE EVALUATION
You are being invited to participate in the internal evaluation of study of our program - Ethni Conversations. Ethni Conversations has now been running for 10 months as a pilot project and we want to understand the outcomes of the program over this time.
PURPOSE
By participating, you will help us to understand what went well in the program and what can be improved so we can continue to run the sessions and make them better for everyone. It will also help us to validate the benefit of the program for funding bodies.
HOW IT WILL BE CONDUCTED
The data collection will be done in a one-a-one zoom or phone call meeting and it will take around 20 minutes. You will be asked around 8 questions about your personal experience in the program. You can have access to the questions before meeting. We ask that you answer these questions as honestly as you can.
WITHDRAWING
At any time, you may refuse to continue participating in the evaluation and you may withdraw your consent by advising the research team.
YOUR PRIVACY
What you share during the evaluation will be treated confidentially. The information obtained will be ‘de-identified’ to anyone outside of your interview. This means that what you share will be recorded anonymously and your answers will not be associated with your name or any other identifiable demographic information.
WHO IS CONDUCTING IT
This interview is going to be conducted by Marina Alves Dornelles, who is part of the Ethni research team. Marina is currently completing her Masters of Social Work and undertaking her placement with Ethni. You are welcome to have a trusted person or representative of Ethni attend the interview with you, but this cannot be another participant in the evaluation.
WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE INFORMATION
Once the interviews have been completed, the information will be collated and conclusions will be drawn from the findings. A research report will be completed and shared with you for your information. This research report will be used internally and shared with the Ethni management team and Board. It will also be enclosed in funding applications and proposals.
